Samuel “Sam “ Roy Gold, age 73, of San Jacinto, California for 4 years passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at Hemet Valley Medical Center in Hemet, California. Sam was born April 22, 1936 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was an Engineer for 18 years. He was the son of the late Samuel Fred Gold and the late Evelyn Louise (Mullen) Gold.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Garcia of Aurora, CO, step-daughter Tomi Ann Harter of San Jacinto, CA, two sons, Samuel E. Gold of Chino, Ca, Mark Gold of Aurora, CO, one brother, Randy Gold of San Luis Obispo, CA, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Monday, December 14, 2009 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. private interment will be at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery in San Jacinto, CA.

Entrusted to the care of McWane Family Funeral Home.

My Father had a different approach for each of us as a parent but the outcome was always positive. He was a very honest, hard working man who loved the outdoors. The most memorable times of my youth were spent with my Father. He will be sorely missed.

My grandpa was the kindest and most caring person in the world. I will spend my life trying to be a quarter as amazing as him and probably never even acheive that. I could never thank him enough for all he did for me. love you papa.
