Richard “Dick” Girvin

November 3, 1921 – April 13, 2010

Dick Girvin, beloved father, grandfather, husband, and friend, passed away April 13, 2010 in Hemet after a short illness. He is survived by his wife, Shirley, his children, Geoffrey, Sara, and Jane, his daughter-in-law Ginger, his son-in-law Brent, his grandchildren, Todd, Tim, Tiffany, and Sophie, his stepdaughters Pam and Sherry, grandson-in-law Wes, and soon-to-be-born great grandson.

Dick was born in Brawley, California. Although he traveled widely for the aerospace industry as well as for pleasure, he lived and worked in California his whole life. Dick was a WWII Navy veteran and a 40 year member of the Barbershop Society for which he served with distinction in leadership roles. He will be remembered for his strength, generosity, humor, intellectual curiosity, and his dedication to his family and friends.

Services will be held at Hemet Valley Christian Church on Monday, April 19^th at 10:00 am.
