Gregg James Figgings, age 75, of Hemet passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2010. Born September 09, 1934 in Upland, Ca. a resident of the Valley for 32 years. Figgins was a Hemet High School graduate class of 1952. He obtained his Bachelors degree at UCR, his Masters in San Jose, Ca., and his doctorate from Stanford University. Among the many accomplishments, in his life his family best describes him as being a man of core values and living  by them. He was not only a family man who loved serving his community he was a devoted husband and father and was very loved by his family. He was a hero to his children.

Gregg is preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Gregory Figgins. He is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Bonnie Head Figgins, his two children; Andrew Figgins of Newport Beach, Ca; Jeanne Figgins of Rainbow Acres, Az; two step-children; Bryan Head of Van Nuys, Ca; Julie (Thomas Carothers) Head, of Wa; sister in law Maralyn and her husband Lee Spain of San Jacinto, Ca; and his niece Andrea Learned of Santa Rosa, Ca.

The family will receive relatives and friends during a celebration of his life which will take place on Friday, April 30, 2010 commencing at 4:00 p.m. at HUSD board room, 1791 W. Acacia Hemet, Ca. 92543.

In Lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to Rainbow Acres Ranch, P.O. Box 1326 Camp Verde, Az. 86322-1326 or to Hemet High School scholarship fund.

Gregg will be greatly missed and remembered for his devotion to family and his community, his integrity, strength, and giving heart.
