Timothy Allen Akkerman, age 31, of Hemet and Riverside, California passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2010 in Texas. He was born March 9, 1979 in Rapid City, South Dakota to Dani L. and Marilyn K. (Kester) Akkerman and came to Hemet in 1990.

As a teen at Hemet High he was involved with the agricultural program, raising award winning livestock. He served his country in the US Navy aboard the USS Constellation. He worked in the new home building trade for several years. In 2008 he began driving semi trucks, and was looking forward buying his own truck. Mr. Akkerman loved spending time with his family and friends. Camping, fishing, cooking on the grills.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nada Akkerman; children, Victor, Chris, Mathew and Jasmine; grandchild Aubry Ann; parents Dani and Marilyn Akkerman; sisters, Jennifer and Nicholle; grandparents Don and Red Akkerman, all of Hemet area.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at McWane Family Funeral home from 10am to 12pm, followed by a graveside service at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery at 1:30pm.
