Karen Lee Guttke
April 30, 1946 - June 10, 2020
Karen Lee Guttke (Davis), 74, of Hemet, California, was born on April 30, 1946 in El Monte California to the late Hershel and Mary Davis. She passed away on June 10, 2020 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Karen married Walter Guttke in 1964 and moved from her home state of California to Florida, where she lived until 2010. She worked for 18 years as a medical secretary in the nuclear cardiology department at West Florida Hospital, however she always made family her priority and she absolutely loved to play card games! She also became a master porcelain dollmaker, and was an expert seamstress. She relocated back to California 9 years ago to be near her identical twin sister, Sharon, and other family members. Karen was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Walter. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Yves) and Pamela, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild. She is also survived by her siblings: twin sister, Sharon (Richard), Hershel, Donna, Patty, Terry (Jim), and David, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Karen firmly believed she would pass into the arms of Jesus at the predestined time, which gave her peace for her future, as well as a fighting spirit for each day she lived on earth. She was truly an inspiration and will be greatly missed. A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday June 23, 2020 at Riverside National Cemetery located at 22495 Van Buren Boulevard Riverside, California 92518. Interment will be in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.mcwanefamily.com
