Lilia Reyna Zepeda Born on October 16, 1926, and passed away on February 1, 2022, at 95 years old. Lilly was born and raised in Santa Rita, New Mexico, and was the oldest of 4 sisters. As a child she moved to Banning, California with her widowed mother and sisters.Lilly married Hector Zepeda in 1946 and together they had 1 daughter and 3 rambunctious boys. They created a lot of memories together playing cards, marbles, singing, and riding dirt bikes. However, she was very competitive during card games and cheating was not out of the question to win. She was a one-of-a-kind mother who loved playing games with her kids, grand kids, and great grandkids. These are memories we will always cherish, along with her famous tortilla delight. Lilly was a veracious reader and loved a good mystery and encouraged all of us to read. Lilly had 4 children, 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She lived a long and wonderful life filled with family and love. Lilly drove for an extremely short amount of time, which was probably for the best for everyone else’s safety. She was a very independent women till the day she passed. She never liked help and always said “I am strong and I can do it myself.” She instilled this trait to all of us to be a strong person. Lilly was always a person anyone can talk to without judgement. She was the best listener and always gave the best advice. She “occasionally” had a glass of wine, or two, or three which gave all of us our love for wine. There are so many good memories each one of us have with her. We know she is in a better place, and this is not goodbye but see you later. She is now in heaven with her husband Hector. Lilly will be buried at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery.
