July 16, 1925 - August 13, 2013
Maryelain Otterstrom, wife of Bernard Otterstrom, born July 16, 1925 , passed away August 13, 2013. Mary (as all her friends called her), is survived by her son David Otterstrom, her daughter-in-law Sue Otterstrom, her sister-in-law Janet Brown, her four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mary was a pillar of strength to her family who saw her as the family matriarch. She was a woman of strong faith whose family meant everything to her and brought her great joy. Mary had many friends who, to her, were a part of her extended family. She always had a knack for making people feel welcome and very much cared for. She and her husband set the bar for her family with over 69 years of marriage until Bernard passed away March 2011. Mary lived a very full life, where she loved to travel, dance, write poetry, play scrabble, put together puzzles, play golf , shop yard sales and interacting with her local Panorama Village family at numerous events. She held several jobs in various occupations but the job that was nearest and dearest to her heart was one of being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother which, of course, to her was not a job at all. Mary will be dearly missed but her family has peace and joy in knowing that she has gone home to be with the Lord, as well as with her husband, her son, Ron and her daughter, Diana. Entrusted to the care of McWane Family Funeral Home. Life’s Celebration By Trisha Angulo (Otterstrom) It’s time for a party where I’m the guest of honor. We celebrate my life and all of our special times together. Oh how I love parties with family and friends, It’s my hearts delight, time well spent. Though you can’t see me I assure you I’m there, Hugging each of you and wiping away the tears. I will always be with you as my spirit lives on, Remember me in your hearts I will never be gone. Family is where I dedicated my life, Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and wife. My friends are an extension of all that I love and adore, I couldn’t have lived a fuller life or asked for more. I have so many gifts today from each one of you, Gifts of love, laughter, good times and all we’ve been through. I ask for one more gift from all of you today, Do not grieve for me, for I could not stay. Share in my joy and dance with me, Spinning around in memories that will always be. Take heart and know that I have fulfilled my life’s plan, I’m in heaven now holding the Lord’s hand.
